January 28 2022,
Bentley is continuing its push towards electrification through its Beyond 100 strategy by announcing its intentions to bring to market five electric vehicles at the rate of one per year starting in 2025.
The new Five-in-Five plan is part of the ambitious Beyond 100 strategy, one of the most ambitious green plans in the automotive industry. Aside from bringing new electric vehicles to market, Bentley also plans to make all of its retailers carbon neutral by 2025.
To reach its lofty goals, Bentley will be investing 2.5 billion pounds in its new electrification strategy. This will go towards the carbon neutrality objective, but also to the development of five fully electric vehicles starting in 2025. Bentley didn’t provide any further details on these electrified vehicles, but Bentley has already started electrifying its lineup with the Bentley Bentayga PHEV and Bentley Flying Spur PHEV. Both retain the impressive luxury of Bentley vehicles while also providing exceptional performance that is also efficient.
“Simultaneously accelerating our Beyond100 strategy and securing BEV production at Crewe, alongside a £2.5 billion investment, makes this a major landmark in Bentley’s 102-year history. It is a shining light for the Bentley family, our suppliers and partners, as well as the automotive industry and UK manufacturing as a whole, » said Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors.
