What else does the Bentley Bentayga Speed offer?
June 22 2022,
Bentley hit a real home run with its first utility vehicle, the Bentayga. Building on the success of the latter, the company recently launched the Speed version.
As the name suggests, this one offers a bit more in the way of performance, but what really sets it apart?
Let's take a closer look.
The most notable difference between the Bentayga V8 and the Bentayga Speed is the engine and the level of performance offered by the latter. As the name suggests, the Bentayga V8 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4-liter V8 engine, an organ that produces 542 horsepower. The Bentayga Speed, on the other hand, is equipped with a 6-liter twin-turbo W12 engine, this time capable of 626 horsepower. On the road, the Bentayga Speed can erase the 0 to 97 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, making it one of the fastest SUVs on the market.
The style
To match the style with the level of performance offered, the Bentayga Speed has a slightly different design. In fact, its exterior has a more aggressive language. The differences come in the form of unique, body-color-matched front and rear bumpers and rocker panel extensions. The rear spoiler is also more pronounced. In addition, the headlights, lights and front grill feature a dark tint. Finally, the Bentayga Speed has two massive elliptical-shaped exhaust tips, while the Bentayga V8 has four mufflers.
On board
You'd think the differences would be limited to the powertrain and bodywork, but Bentley wanted to distinguish its model from the inside as well. That's why the Speed version offers an exclusive color scheme with Alcantara elements and quilted leather seats. The Bentayga Speed also features a sport pedal set and illuminated door sill plates. The latter clearly show the Speed logo, which prevents any confusion.
As for interior colors, the Bentayga Speed offers 15 choices versus 5 standard colors with the Bentayga V8.
Really, if you want to stand out even more with a premium SUV, the Speed version of the Bentayga is definitely the most likely proposition on the market to do so. A work of art, by any measure.
